Debbie — Grace that goes on and on…. Have you ever read something once and thought wow that is what I needed to hear today, and then read a totally different book and the same lines pop up? Well as we started unloading containers, the reminder that Papa is good and his grace endures forever became more and more real. We had this great labelling system; I had borrowed from the Crossroads guys. But we had also had a moving team with no English and so the certainty that all the boxes where in the container in the correct order was really not there! As we expected the teachers would need the “priority boxes” which where supposed to be at the front of the first two containers. Also I had a request for specific boxes off the teacher’s packing lists as well as about 50 boxes of school supplies for the students. Would you believe it was all found quickly and easily, we did employ a few of the high school boys to help. The day after the teacher’s got the teaching materials, the floor was due to be re-laid…so that afternoon I stood over the construction workers as they put in the door locks so we could move the boxes to the nursing office, and library office… my two rooms with floors and lights as well as doors and locks – the essentials! Then we prepped for registration with everyone getting books…but as we had no lock on the library door– don’t ask why this was hard, we spent a day taking the library shelving out of the container and putting them up. What a difference having the carpet down and shelves up made. We planned that 4 days latter to have a huge team of boys and families to unload the text books and repack the container with only elementary boxes. In one morning the container was unloaded and the core subject books found counted and shelved, the night before the door lock had gone onto the library door. It sounds straight forward and logical, each step was just within the timing we had. Registration happened on the property and we had a joyful time seeing everyone together again.

Debbie — Looking forward to guests! Matt, who trained with us in the States is coming to visit near the end of this month. Be lifting up his visa. He is coming to serve alongside us, and Craig is thrilled that he will be around to help with the job of getting things working in the server room at school.
My mom is flying over from Canada for three weeks next month and I am really excited that she is coming. We look forward to introducing her to our life here and friends as well as see the school. She has her visa, incredibly. See it is not that hard if you are coming for under a month… hint hint..
Debbie — Treated like royalty. It is lovely having the school community home. We where shocked and shed a few tears as we where told the community had decided to send us away for a few days of vacation to thank us for all we had done this summer with the move and teams etc. Most of the community is in the country as volunteers and yet they arranged for us to be taken to a beautiful resort in the mountains with a spa attached. Without any need to plan we rested, swam, lounged, read books and relaxed to the view of the birch forest from our room. Breakfast was included, and we got to know the only English speaking waiter…also figured out the restaurant with an English menu, Georgian food, which was superb. It was a great way to celebrate our third wedding anniversary and get refreshed for the next leg of the journey. Once again held in awe by the way we are loved and cared for by this community.
Craig — Grand Children My eldest daughter has announced that she is expecting her first child in early March 2012 (due date is Debbie's birthday.) This will be our second grandchild. For my parents, it will be the 5th great-grandchild, and for my grandmother, a 5th great-great-grandchild. Congratulations Shez and Steve.
